Lead Frontend Engineer
About us
Your Mission
We are looking for a Lead Frontend Engineer to take ownership of our frontend and help shape how it grows as the team expands. You will be our first dedicated frontend engineer, responsible for our Vue 3 design system and the product interfaces built on top of it.
This is a hands-on engineering role. You will spend a substantial part of your time building product features and design-system components yourself, while also setting frontend standards and guiding how the interface evolves.
You will work closely with our product owner, full-stack developers, and domain experts. We care about more than implementation quality. We want someone who thinks in systems, understands how users make decisions, and designs interfaces that help engineering and program teams work effectively with complex data.
Your Tasks
- Build product interfaces that help engineering and program teams work effectively with BOMs, cost breakdowns, and risk registers
- Lead the interface layer end to end by working with the product owner on feature design, defining what the API needs to return, and collaborating with the full-stack team on implementation
- Grow our Vue 3 design system from Figma into production-ready components that are documented, tested, and versioned
- Establish frontend coding standards, component patterns, review practices, and quality gates across linting, typechecking, and tests
- Mentor junior developers in Vue, TypeScript, and component design
- Raise the overall quality bar for frontend decisions across the team
Working Model
- Work from our office in Chennai
- Close daily collaboration with our team in Germany, with at least 4 to 5 hours of overlap
- You will work closely with product, engineering, and domain experts rather than in isolation
- We build for the long term and value getting things right over shipping fast
Your Profil
- 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience
- Deep hands-on experience with Vue 3, the Composition API, and TypeScript. A strong React or Angular background is also fine if you can become productive in Vue quickly
- Experience shipping and maintaining a component library used by more than one application or team
- Strong CSS and layout fundamentals, and fluency in design-system concepts such as spacing, typography, states, and tokens
- Experience implementing accurately from Figma and spotting gaps or inconsistencies in the design itself
- Experience taking design tokens from design files through to code
- Accessibility as a normal part of how you build, including keyboard support, semantics, and sensible interaction patterns
- Strong judgment around maintainability, clarity, and when to push back on messy patterns
- The ability to act as a go-to reviewer and set the standard for frontend quality
- Ability to author or refine designs in Figma, not just implement from it
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, ERP, or PLM domains
Why this Role is special
- You build systems that directly influence industrial decision-making
- You work closely with engineering and management consultants
- You contribute to the architecture of a long-term industrial platform
- You are part of a performance-driven but structured organization
- You shape the technical backbone of our future growth
Your Benefits
- 15-20 LPA
- 30 days vacation (excl. sick leave)
- High technical ownership
- Long-term architectural responsibility
